Apple retail stores? polish fades a bit

Staff Kansas City Business Journal

For the first time in at least four years, Apple Inc. reports a decline in store sales as it enters the 10th month of a search for a leader of its retail operation, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Apple (Nasdaq; AAPL) has looked to its retail stores to goose flattening sales, but the format of its stores has become commonplace, the report says.

CEO Tim Cook has been leading the division as the search for a new leader drags on with no finalist in sight, the report says.
