I do think it really depends on the size of your agency. Once you are in the "good", you often get priority. If you agency is large and busy, this probably doesn't matter as much. I know because of what I've been through with my placements, I have proven myself, so to speak. For my ideal situation, I am their number one right now and I've been told that by a few people. There's some foster parents that will only take what my ideal situation is, but I am ahead of them because I've gone above and beyond for them before. This isn't uncommon. Just something to ponder. I've watched it happen with other longtime foster parents in my county and they will get priority for those ideal situations especially if they have not been able to adopt yet.
